President

Mike Komppa founded Corum Real Estate Group in 1986 with a diversified group of talented and experienced professionals with a vision to become active participants in a variety of real estate product types.

Mr. Komppa began his career with a Denver-based engineering and construction firm. After earning a Master’s Degree in Business, he spent seven years as a mortgage banker, arranging financing and negotiating joint ventures on a wide range of commercial real estate developments. In 1982, Mr. Komppa entered the development business as the Colorado partner of a Texas-based real estate firm.

In 1986, Mr. Komppa formed Corum Real Estate Group with a group of key associates, who since then have collaborated on the development, acquisition and repositioning of more than 8 million square feet of commercial office, warehouse and apartment properties in the Colorado and Chicago area markets.

Mr. Komppa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Investment Analysis from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has served two terms as President of the Colorado Chapter of NAIOP, as Chair of ULI Colorado and currently on the Industrial and Office Parks Council of the Urban Land Institute. He has also been active as President and Board member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, and sits on the Executive Committee of the University of Colorado Real Estate Council, as well as on the Board of Downtown Denver, Inc.

Senior Vice President – Construction

Mr. Buckley has been responsible for the construction oversight of Corum’s high density urban multi-family developments and office projects. He works closely with other members of the Corum team to provide pricing and scheduling data on a project by project basis.

Prior to joining Corum, Mr. Buckley’s consulting firm provided owner’s representation services in leading the design and construction efforts for renovations at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs (a $50 million project), Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, and Cherry Hills Country Club.

Previously, he worked with a Colorado Springs based consulting group managing over $400 million of design and construction over a 12 year span. Projects included three additional phases of construction/ renovations totaling over $150 million at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, the $30 million Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Wyoming, the $40 million National Cowboy and Western Heritage Center in Oklahoma City, and several major office projects throughout the country. Prior to this role he worked for a major General Contractor and owner/developer on several downtown Denver high rise projects.

Mr. Buckley earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University. He is a Dale Carnegie Executive Graduate, a LEED AP, and a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).

Vice President – Investments

Eric Komppa joined Corum as Vice President of Investments. Eric’s responsibilities include sourcing, managing and procuring acquisitions and development opportunities for Corum.

Prior to joining Corum, Eric worked in Seattle for Bentall Kennedy, a pension advisory firm, where he completed $400 million in acquisitions on behalf of its clients in the Pacific Northwest, San Francisco Bay Area and Mountain States, including the acquisition of $91 million Metro Apartments in Lodo. His experience at Bentall Kennedy also included business development, assisting in raising of new capital and asset management on behalf of the firm’s largest separate account client.

Eric received his bachelor’s degree in finance at the University of Colorado in Boulder, after which he worked in acquisitions for Woodspear Properties in Denver, as well as for Essex Financial, arranging financing for commercial real estate projects.  Eric also holds an MBA in real estate from the University of Wisconsin and is an active member in both ULI and NAIOP.

Director of Accounting

Mary Jones joined Corum Real Estate Group, Inc. in 1994. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Ms. Jones brings more than 25 years of commercial and residential accounting experience to the Corum team. Her responsibilities include directing corporate accounting, overseeing financial reporting, and budgeting. Additionally, she coordinates partnership audits and tax return preparation.

Prior to joining Corum, Ms. Jones was employed with both Trammel Crow Company and Miller Development, Inc. focusing primarily on financial reporting for commercial real estate. She was also actively involved in cash flow projection and audit coordination.

Ms. Jones holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Southwest Minnesota State University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is a member of Corum’s Executive Committee.

 

Kate LucksKate Lucks
Director of Marketing & Strategic Partnerships

Kate Lucks joined Corum in 2016 as Director of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships. She directs all aspects of the organization’s Marketing Department, providing a tailored approach for business development, strategic relationship building, RFQ/Ps, public relations, branding, and communications. Prior to joining Corum Real Estate Group, Kate managed marketing departments for renowned international architecture practices in New York City including Kohn Pedersen Fox and the Rockwell Group. Her background in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development and vast national experience with branding, analyzing development trends, coordinating international conferences, panels, and special events are pivotal to her role at Corum.

Kate received her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado at Boulder, after which she worked as an Urban Planner for the Town of Frisco, Colorado and the City of Evans, Colorado, as well as in Sales and Marketing for national home builder, Beazer Homes. Kate is an active member of the Urban Land Institute.

Lisa Lane
Senior Property  Manager

Lisa joined Corum Real Estate Group in June 2001. She has been in the multi-family and commercial real estate industry since 1994. Prior to joining Corum, Lisa assisted in the management of seven commercial properties in Atlanta, Georgia.

As Senior Property Manager, Lisa is responsible for the daily operations and management of Corum’s commercial portfolio in Denver and the Denver Tech Center. Her commitment to customer service has enabled her and Corum’s team to build strong tenant relationships. She excels in customer service with her constant interaction with tenants and consistent follow up. Lisa is committed to creating value by exceeding the goals and expectations of Corum’s clients and investors.

Lisa has earned the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation through the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) and holds a real estate broker’s license in Colorado.

Senior Property Manager – 
Third Party Properties

Heather Lichtenfels joined Corum Real Estate Group in September 1999, and has worked in a variety of positions over the years on both multifamily and commercial properties. Heather currently manages and oversees the daily operations of Corum’s third party commercial portfolio, consisting of properties located in Denver and Colorado Springs.

Prior to joining Corum Real Estate Group, Heather attended the University of Iowa where she received her B.A. in Psychology. Heather is working toward her Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation through the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI).

Regional Manager – Multifamily

Cicely Crampton joined Corum Real Estate Group in 2003. She began her career in property management in 1997 with Vail Resorts, Inc, operating on-site for Keystone Resort employee housing and implementing best practices and training programs for all of the Vail Resorts, Inc. employee housing offices and on-site teams throughout Summit and Eagle counties.

As Regional Manager for the multifamily portfolio, Cicely supports the operations of 5 properties located in Denver, Vail, Breckenridge, and Steamboat Springs. Her extensive experience in interfacing with owners and industry partners, hands on operations, training, budgeting, and team leadership has consistently provided successful results for Corum and its clients.

Cicely holds a real estate license in Colorado.
